Ellcot Spinning

Live energy and compressed-air monitoring for a spinning mill: department load, peaks, and a daily total locked from 6 AM to 6 AM.

private system

Overview

Ellcot Spinning Mills runs its energy management on the system I built. Gateways on the floor send meter readings in. The software stores power, power factor, frequency, and kilowatt-hours, then shows the running load, the day's peak, and the load of every department — ring, carding, simplex, autoconer, compressors, and air conditioning.

Compressed air is tracked as well: running flow against installed capacity, and the specific energy ratio (kW per m³/min) of every compressor, so leaks and idle running show up the same day.

The daily figure is locked on a 6 AM to 6 AM window, so the mill and the office are looking at the same day. Analytics, shift reports, and trend views sit on top, alongside inventory and maintenance.
